£25 John Lewis referral voucher

Discriminating against your Northern Ireland customers - are we second class citizens ?
We have no John Lewis stores over here.
Are you offering an alternative voucher ?

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

Interesting, I didn't know there weren't any John Lewis stores in NI.
I'll see what the marketing bods say. Smiley

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

They have a planning application pending for a superstore outside Belfast but it is getting a lot of opposition from local traders and residents

They deliver to NI - so I think the claim of discrimination is at best tongue in cheek, or at worse disingenuous.
Geographically you could be further away from a JL store elsewhere in the UK.

My suggestion to marketing was tongue-in-cheek too. Wink

What, something like 'get a real job'...
Or 'advertising - yawn'...
Either tend to work with the coloured crayons dept. Cheesy

My point exactly.
In these hard economic times perhaps ASDA or tesco vouchers would be more usefull.

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

@win7xp. you will find this is because JL is a partner to PN, hence why it makes sense pn can affoard to buy new customers for 25 quid

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

So why can they not spend £25 on Asda or Tesco vouchers instead or do they get a discounted rate from JL ?

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

i presume as there a partner they will get a discount, as like you say it would of made more sense to use tesco ect if PN was paying the full 25 quid
bit about the partnership here in a old csc blog http://community.plus.net/blog/2008/09/29/customer-support-centre-update/

Not really the point you made though - you tried to make out you were hard done by because of location.
If indeed you did mean that you would prefer Tesco vouchers, perhaps that would have been a more useful thing to put in your post.
Of course, Tesco vouchers would be no good to me, it would need to be Asda or Morrisons.
But then again, I wouldn't be likely to check the incisors of a horse I was given.
If you just pretend that no voucher is available, you'll find you are no worse off. Smiley

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

Hi all,
The vouchers are redeemable online so there shouldn't be any problems - there's instructions on the back of the voucher, essentially you just input the serial number and also the code from under the scratch off panel (the one that's void if removed) when purchasing.
Hope that helps,

As another NI user in the same boat, thanks for the information regarding on line usage, did not know that.
Only problem now is getting the voucher back off the wife, she was saving it for her next trip across the water !

Re: £25 John Lewis referral voucher

Good luck with that. Wink
If that fails you'll just have to refer someone else and get another one on the quiet. Smiley
