22 Hours & Counting To Respond to a ticket!!!!!

Here we go........
I'm still having an ongoing speed issue due to last weeks outage!!
Before the line profile restored itself, one of the helpful support staff (I use the term loosely!) was going to contact BTW and ask them to enable interleaving on my line, in case that might help sort things.
At the time, I said not to bother, and lets see if the 72 hour wait would sort things out.
No response was forthcoming, and after 24h, I closed it.
Last night, I struggled to hit 2Mb/s with a ping of 137ms (normally 5+ with 60ms). I suspected that interleaving had been enabled, and raised a ticket to enquire.....
That was 22 hours ago, when the so called (estimated, I grant you) response time was 5 hours and some oddments.....
All I want is to see if the interleaving is enabled, and if it is, TO TURN THE DAMNED THING OFF!!!!!
Things were great before last Wednesday and it all went belly up..... still seeing a 6500Mb/s IP profile, but cannot get the throughput now!
AAAARRGHHHHH!!!!

Hiya,
Are you not able to see that information from your router?
I'll happily pick up your ticket when I get into the office in the morning.

Re: 22 Hours & Counting To Respond to a ticket!!!!!

Hi James,
If you could, I'd appreciate it....  unless of course it is dealt with in the meantime! As I type this, it has just turned 24 hours!
Looking in the router stats, I can see nothing that equates to interleaving..... unless of course I'm having a mental block, and it's glaring me right in the face!
Router stats posted below:
Link Information

Uptime: 0 days, 14:07:36
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 7,616
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.5 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 12.0 / 18.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 23.0 / 15.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / ALCB
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 2
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
Everything there looks to be as it should....... although I'm a little concerned about the 14h uptime, and Nil data received/transmitted! That certainly isnt the case!
Ticket number is: 30158063
Ta, ever so!

Just as an afterthought.... compare this, tonight:

With this, Saturday night, after the line profile came back:

Hmm....   Smiley
PS, I know that "external" speed testers are not the definitive guide, but i'm still within the 3h on the BT one!

Same for me.  I raised a ticket 30170757 at about 7p yesterday and still not heard from CS. Sad

Yes, just got a reply and a text from James B timed 11.50a.  Guess this was as a result of my query at 11.44a.  Thanks for your help.

Re: 22 Hours & Counting To Respond to a ticket!!!!!

In the past, when I've emailed about trivial matters, it seems to have been dealth with in a quick manner.....
I can only assume that email requests, are dealt with better if sent during the day..... I'd assume that there are obviously more staff on during the day!

Re: 22 Hours & Counting To Respond to a ticket!!!!!

Well,
At about 22.30, the router rebooted itself, all on it's own......
And now webpages load up instantly with no delay, and according to speedtest.net, ping time is 42ms to the Maidenhead server.......
Looks like we are Interleaving free!!!
Big thanks to Mr. Bailey!
We are back to the old ways again  Smiley
