We don’t outsource our support operation overseas. Our entire operation is run from our Sheffield Headquarters as we employ locally. Unlike many of Pipex’s call-centres, we’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In addition, we have a geographical, Sheffield landline number. This allows customers to benefit from no call charges to our support team if they have included minutes to UK landlines.
Intelligent Network Management – Not Traffic Strangling!
We manage our network intelligently using some very specialist equipment. We make sure that web browsing, VoIP telephone calls, Online Gaming, Email etc… gets the highest possible priority on our network at all times.
This means that customers who download large amounts, or use bandwidth-heavy applications such as P2P and Usenet at busy times, still get their share of the network but without slowing down the connection for everyone else.
Clear Products and Defined, but Flexible, Usage Allowances
There’s a common misconception in the UK that Unlimited Broadband can be both of quality and sustainable. As an open and honest ISP, we know it’s not and we campaign against ISPs who mislead customers into thinking that Unlimited means you can download as much as you want.
