Permanently withhold number

Hi,

I notice that a few others have already posted in this forum about this, so hope this is the right place to make a request.

My Plusnet phone service started yesterday and I would like my number permanetly witheld when making out going calls please.

Can you also confirm that like BT, TalkTalk, etc, any calls I do want my number disclosed on just need to have the 1470 prefix inserted ?

Thanks.

Re: Permanently withhold number

Hi there,

I've placed an order to withhold your number. I recommend checking your line in 24 hours.

Hi Matty,

Thanks very much for doing this for me.  Once it's working I'll mark this as fixed.

Cheers,

Pooh.

Re: Permanently withhold number

Hello again,

The change I requested has already been made - thanks.  However, it looks like I have misunderstood how permanently withholding my number works with Plusnet.

I had assumed that it would work the same way as it did when I was with TalkTalk and BT before that, i.e. your number was withheld for all out going calls, but you could release your number on a call-by-call basis by using the 1470 prefix.

I now get a message when dialling 1470 that this service is not available.

Do Plusnet use a different prefix to release your number ?

If it is not possible to configure the Plusnet telephone service to work as above, may I request it be put back as it was before ?

Sorry to be a nuisance.

Fix

My apologies, I chose the wrong option. I've placed a fresh order with the option to override. Hopefully that should be sorted for you by tomorrow.
