weak signal despite repeater

i have a large house and the signal is pretty useless unless you're close to the router, best way to improve this - I've tried changing channels, plus all the other basics with no improvement - do I need a different repeater or just faster broadband?

@katykitten1

These are you options:  https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Distributing-Data-around-Larger-Proper...

Also have you tried the repeater in different locations?

You don't say which hub you are using or how fast the download speed is when connected directly to the hub using an Ethernet cable. Does this speed meet your requirements? With decent wireless you should get fairly close to this speed.

Apart from that it's got nothing to do with how fast your broadband is.
