Some time ago I was logging the many & varied attacks on my router using Visual Syslog Server for Windows
I have been trying to get it working again, but can’t
Using telnet I sent the commands:
syslog msgbuf send dest=192.168.1.67 (Send all the log to syslog client at IP address)
syslog config activate=enabled (Enable continuous update to a syslog client)
syslog ruleadd fac=all sev=debug dest=192.168.1.67 (Rule to send all the log items to syslog client at 192.168.1.67)
Saveall
On Visual Syslog Server for Windows:
UDP Listener Interface: 192.168.1.254 Port 514
TCP Listener Interface & Port: 192.168.1.254 Port 514
I can’t get it to work so must be missing something or don't know what I'm doing in the first place?
