Wifi Dropping/ extreme periods of high ping

Every day i get random drops in wifi, checked the log and its usualy like this -

ath00: STA b8:53:ac:20:2c:b6 IEEE 802.11: WiFi registration failed

ath00: STA b8:53:ac:20:2c:b6 IEEE 802.11: Client disassociated

There's also the periods of extreme ping usually once/twice every hour.

Also, my router is located right underneath my room and when connected to my phone etc it has lengthy periods of being connected but no internet access. This usually happens every 5 minutes.

Plusnet routers so far seem shocking.

Re: Wifi Dropping/ extreme periods of high ping

Yes ,i have changed the channel several times with no viable difference.

A WiFi extender seems highly pointless in a room where the router is less than 3 metres away.

Re: Wifi Dropping/ extreme periods of high ping

This issue does occur with when on wired

The router is the default issued by plus-net ( hub)

The router goes orange for several seconds then goes back to blue.

Hi @ant0bot123

Thank you for confirming that this issue is occurring over wired connections too and that the light on your router changes colour when your connection drops.

The connection log is showing that there have been two drops in the last eight days, which would be classed as normal behaviour for the line.

Are the drops that you are seeing on wired connections more frequent than this? If so, please report the issue here and let us know when you've completed it.
