Welcome to the forum.

WiFi worked fine with my previous supplier.
Assuming that was with a different router, it suggests that the current one is a duffer. Can you try the previous one with your PN ID/PW?

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having.
So we can advise further can you confirm the type of devices you have connected and if they all lose the signal?
Also can you confirm if you've desynced the wireless bands?

however I'm having to restart the router every day
That isn't a good idea imho
sometimes more than once due to the signal being lost every couple of minutes, on both 2.4 and 5ghz.
Many reboots in a short period of time might cause issues too.
But, have you split the wifi?
Click the following - http://192.168.1.254/index.cgi?active_page=9105 - and select no under for the sync with 2.4GHz
Then add something like 5-GHz to the SSID
I'd also suggest adding the same to the wireless key.
The above will then give you 2 separate wifi channels and clearly you'd need to reconnect to to this 'new' one for anything using 5GHz. Having said that, none of our devices use the 5GHz spectrum as we find it very unreliable.
2.4GHz is 'better' when the device is further away from the router
5GHz is 'an option' when the device is closer (from experience in sight of) the router.
