Re: WiFi calling

@bertmay  If that is the case it would appear that your phone is not supported by giffgaff, as @Protech suggested in msg#8 Motorola devices my not be supported. Can you get it to work on other wi-fi networks such as a friend's or a public network?

The phone indicates it is making a wifi call by the displayed symbols on the screen when calling our other phone.

so for the moment I will leave it off

Re: WiFi calling

I also went into the router Hub1, advanced settings, firewall, configuration, changed from default to disabled, not sure if that was a good idea or not.

Its NOT a good idea and will make no difference to whether wifi calling works or not!

Re: WiFi calling

There’s another Giffgaff user around here having issues with WiFi calling … perhaps there’s a mobile provider issue which their customer support team can assist with?

EE send a router which has a green socket that they tell you 'Just plug your old phone in'.

Whether it actually works or not is a different issue.  My experience is 0 from 2.

I would consider a stand-alone VOIP setup, which you can get going now with a throwaway number.  Then you are not tied to the limited choice of expensive legacy suppliers.

When you __HAVE BEEN__ switched to FTTP you then have 30 days in which to put your old phone number over to the VOIP supplier
