Using an old router as a wifi repeater

I recently moved house, upgraded to fibre and now have a Plusnet Hub One sat on the kitchen window sill as the line comes into the house at an irritating point. The signal in most of the house is ok, but as I have my old Thomson TG585v7 lying around, is it possible to set it up as a repeater to extend my wifi range? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Re: Using an old router as a wifi repeater

The TG585 cannot be configured as a wifi repeater.

It could be configured as a wireless access point by changing its IP address and disabling DHCP, but you would need to also run a cable to it or use powerline adapters.
