Using a WiFi 6 Asus ZenWiFi AX (XT8)

The WiFi coverage of my Plusnet provided router (Plusnet Hub One) is not great with several dead spots throughout the house. I’m considering buying a replacement mesh router particularly the WiFi 6 Asus ZenWifi AX. Would you let me know if this is compatible and if there are any specific setup instructions I need to follow?

fwiw, you will need a VDSL 'bridge' modem to get the best out of the Asus XT8.  Hub One does not have bridge mode.

The XT8 supports PPPoE login authentication (You simply enter your plusnet user account and password when you set up the XT8), so it will work with Plusnet when it is wired to a bridge modem.

The less desirable alternative is to keep the Hub One as your main router.  You may be able to configure the XT8 as an Access Point to serve wifi only.  But you will likely find many other features are disabled and not available to use on the XT8 while in Access Point mode.

Can you suggest a modem to go with ASUS Zenwifi?
