Re: Updated Router

You don't mention what functionality is missing from the existing router.

If more extensive Wi-Fi coverage is what you seek, Wi-Fi 6 & 7 are not the answer.
Invest in Wi-Fi Access Points.

Re: Updated Router

We have no clue what problem you are trying to solve.

Best I can suggest is solutions to many home network issues can be found at suppliers like :

Re: Updated Router

The provided router is "something that works ok for a lot of people", but if it's not what you want, then you'll have to buy and install your own

Thinking about Windows, Microsoft bundles various software: just because it's included and free doesn't mean it does what everyone needs, so you would use a different bit of software... same with broadband routers.

If you have fibre, and the router connects via an "ethernet cable", then there's plenty of devices available, and I'm sure you'd get help here to set it up.

If you have "Sogea" (so connect over the phone line, aka "ADSL") then you need a different sort of router, *OR* you configure your existing router in "bridge mode" and put the new router behind it. Again, ask for help if needed.

Finally: try and be more specific about what your issues are, as already mentioned

Re: Updated Router

@paul_blitz Sorry, but SoGEA is not ADSL - it is FTTC without the phone component, and as such runs over any VDSL compatible kit.
