Unable to connect phone or ipad to wifi

This has been happening for quite a few months now where my phone will not connect to the wifi at all, i end up using all of my data because it just wont connect. my ipad connects but sometimes it will say "incorrect password",  when it does connect it will keep disconnecting every few minutes sometimes longer.

Is there anyway i can fix this? im not very smart when it comes to internet based problems. Undecided Tongue

Re: Unable to connect phone or ipad to wifi

I get exactly the same with my iphone7,however last night I turned mobile data off and wifi stays on.

I need to check this out for a day or so just to establish if loss of wifi is somehow created by data being on.

Try separating you 2.4 and 5GHz bands, see. https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Try each band and use the best.

Re: Unable to connect phone or ipad to wifi

Hi @Zach2123@anniesboy, thanks for your posts.

We're sincerely sorry to hear of this issue.

In the first instance, we'd definitely recommend following @Baldrick1's cunning plan of splitting the wireless frequencies, as shown in the link posted above.

Please let us know how you get on.

Re: Unable to connect phone or ipad to wifi

As everything is working with no problems,Im currently happy to leave things as they are.

However if the issue reoccurs I will split the frequencies.

In the instructions for change it says change the wireless name does it matter what I change it to? and secondly can the same password be used?

Re: Unable to connect phone or ipad to wifi

Hi @anniesboy, thanks for getting back to us.

You're able to set the name to whatever you want - for example, at home mine are OskarPapaFi-2G and OskarPapaFi-5G respectively.

It doesn't really matter whether the passwords are the same or different.
