Ubiquiti AP Lite & HubOne setup advice

Hi All,

I currently have a HubOne. I am in the process of installing a home network and wanting to use the Ubiquiti Lite access point (https://www.ui.com/unifi/unifi-ap-ac-lite/)

As part of my initial setup I am hoping to setup as follows:

  1. Disable wifi on the HubOne
  2. Connecting a POE switch to the WAN port of the HubOne
  3. Connecting the access points to the POE switch

I have been looking into getting a separate router & modem but currently unsure as to why I would need to do this in the interim?

Your advice would be great!

Re: Ubiquiti AP Lite & HubOne setup advice

You will need to connect to a LAN port on the Hub One, not the WAN port

Hi, yes correction. I meant LAN port.

In theory would this setup / approach work? I’m looking at getting a unmanaged switch and setting up the Access Points using a desktop controller.

I dont know anything specific about the Ubiquiti Lite access points but if they are typical Wireless AP's then I dont see why your theory wont work
