Turn off Hub One LEDs

I am using 2 Hub Ones as WAPs They work fine on my Devolo powerline set up.

As the Hub Ones are not operating as routers, the warning lights are on, the flashing red one for no ISP connection being most annoying.

I have stuck black tape over them which is effective but somewhat ugly. Is there a setting somewhere to disable them or least significantly dim them?

Many thanks.

I'm afraid not. You can get tape in different colours. White might look better.

I suspected as much. At least they work well!

If memory serves me, they can at least be dimmed if you log into the Admin settings.

Another solution which might just be neater is LightDims - search Amazon for them. These come in White or Black and can be used to "dim" LED lights. For the HubOne you would need to get the rectangular sheet and cut to size. Once again, if I recall they can block 95% of the light and were around £10 last time I looked.

Or perhaps a small blob of white Blu Tack would do the job?

When used as a WAP it’s not just the main power light that’s annoying, you also get the broadband light as the hub does not connect to the WAN.

Re: Turn off Hub One LEDs

I couldn't find any option to dim the LEDs.

At least with black tape, the flashing red warning "ISP not found" is not visible.

Thanks everyone for responding.
