Hi. Recently joined Plusnet and the router seems very slow on the network. Done a speed test to the router and getting 70mb download speed but the internal network is dead slow, Ethernet, 2G and 5G. I have decided to install my old TP Link Archer A1200 router that I used with my previous provider with no connection/speed issues despite a slower internet speed. I have tried using the template Plusnet settings on the router set up and put my email address and password in as well but it just won't connect. I have been through the settings on both routers and they all match. Has anyone got any ideas? I would really like to get my separate 2g/5g and guest networks back again.

@peterireland3 the A1200 appears to be a router only . Do you have a separate modem ?
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi, It is a modem/router. It shows up on the TP Link app as a A1200 but I have had a look underneath the unit and it is a Archer VR400 AC1200 Modem Router

Ok, so I'm assuming you are on a Fibre product , yes ?
If so then from the Vr400 smart setup, select PlusNet_VDSL , eneter your username as <youraccountname>@plusdsl.net and the password as the one you use to access the member centre.
