Trying to connect USB HDD to Hub one usb slot

tried two different Hard Drives both with same error "(File type not supported)" . Both new devices. Both formatted to NTSC. Both work on PC , TV , Wii and android box. Seen a report somewhere that says that the router needs a HDD with a particular power draw limit???  Do you have a list of approved devices?

appreciate any ideas

Plusnet if you are listening this is a deal breaker for me is your new router any better

I think you need to format it as FAT32, doesn't support anything else.

Re: Trying to connect USB HDD to Hub one usb slot

Also if it’s a conventional electromechanical HDD most need to have a separate power supply. Many will not run off the power available from a single USB outlet.

When you say ‘deal breaker’ you do realise that you only have two weeks from signing up for the service, not the go live day, to cancel penalty free?
