TG582n: can only log in via wifi, not ethernet

This weekend I did some experiments with IPv6-at-home using a tunnelbroker.net tunnel and the comprehensive guide here: https://community.plus.net/t5/IPv6-Trial/6in4-IPv6-Tunnel-natively-on-Technicolor-TG582n/td-p/909861... - bottom line, it works but the TG582n router seems to behave oddly with IPv6 configured (it sometimes hangs and sometimes has lumpy performance) so I removed the IPv6-related configuration.

Since then, I can only log in to the router via wifi. Both web GUI and the telnet CLI work. I *can't* log in via an ethernet connection: the web GUI times out, and the telnet CLI doesn't offer a login prompt (though I see with tcpdump that it does complete the TCP connection.) I can ping the router OK from the ethernet connection.

I've compared the current configuration/user.ini with an old version and there are no obvious differences. What should I be looking for?

Relatedly: are there any recommendations for router (with or without integrated VDSL modem) that can handle IPv6 tunnels OK?

Thanks!

Dave

No-one? Sad I guess I will factory-reset it and see if the problem persists.
