TG582N Telnet

I wish to view the router's stats (speed, snr etc.) and Event Log; also, if available, graph or data for QLN.

Can I do any of that, please? What are the commands?

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: TG582N Telnet

Have you looked at Routerstats (http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm).

If you're using a windows computer you need to enable Telnet. Search for 'Windows Features' in the Control Panel.

Re: TG582N Telnet

Yes, I have,but actually I use DSLStats. The problem is that I've only temporarily reverted to the Technicolor while trying to solve a problem. With my usual router and DSLStats I can see much more.

Thanks for the Windows Features tip.

Re: TG582N Telnet

I assume that it needs your router admin username and password. It will need it to telnet the router.

@Luzern

@npr is the font of all knowledge on telnet and 582n routers; sadly his excellent website is in retirement ... but the wayback machine might help you find everything you ever wanted to know - https://www.waybackmachine.org/web/20160718103012/http://npr.me.uk:80/

Re: TG582N Telnet

DSLStats will work with the TG582N. If you having trouble setting that up I suggest you post on the Kitz forums.

Re: TG582N Telnet

@jelv  Sorry to have over looked your post!I am using DSLStats but also RS at request of @Townman.

In passing, I must say that RS has improved, though I can not make out how and what to use user-defined graphs for.
