TG582 router permanent DNS change / Pi-Hole

I'm having some problems with getting DNS settings to be applied to a Tg582n router that maybe someone can help with?
I'm running Pi-Hole on a Raspberry Pi for the purpose of blocking unwanted ad content. To achieve this, the Pi-Hole becomes the DNS lookup source for the network and all DNS queries should be forwarded to it.
This means changing the DNS settings in the Tg582n to point to the Pi.
In itself, this is not a problem - I know how to do this via telnet; logging into the router and setting the Pi IP address as the default DNS route.
However, after a period of time, it appears that Plusnet DNS server addresses appear in the route list.
There did appear to be some links on this subject on this forum but they have expired.
Does anyone know how I can change the DNS settings such that I do not get Plusnet defaults creeping back in?
Thanks in advance.

I can't recall what I did myself when I was using that router with 2 Rpi's for add blocking.
Have a mooch in here https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/How-do-I-change-my-Technicolor-TG582n-DNS-to-OpenDNS/m-p/109...
I Did have a look at using pihole but didn't like the idea of it calling home with stats, So I built a pfsense router which has some pretty insane add blocking packages tbh, but I just use the Unbound server with a yoyo list and it is great fun to use!

Edit the DHCP server config so that it hands out the Pi's IP address as the DNS server. See "Method 2" at:

Thanks for all the replies.
I never thought about using the internet archive so thanks for that link to the npr website.
I've done both, basically - I didn't realise that, even if the Plusnet DNS settings re-appeared in the dns route list, that my addition should take precedence.
I also changed the DHCP DNS pool to be just my Pi's IP address.
What I don't understand about this issue of the Plusnet DNS routes automatically returning is whether, if the priority DNS isn't available (which is expected because my pi-hole DNS blocker is blocking some DNS queries), the Plusnet ones are automatically reverted to...as that defeats the entire object of the exercise.
