Re: Setting up a DDNS domain for CCTV on hub one router

It was set to on, I'll reboot the router when I get home and let you know what I find!

Thanks

Hopefully that will fix your problem. With it on it would have been blocking the port.

@MisterW, I assume with you saying to turn the Firewall off that it's not manageable i.e. the User can't configure it just to open a port(s) ? Seems akin to a sledgehammer -v- nut.

@Anonymous I can't recall whether it's manageable on a per port basis. TBH I thought the default these days was Off! So was a bit surprised it was On. Anyway , best to turn it off first and check the OP  can forward the port, then maybe experiment with more specific settings. Although the router firewall is as good as you need most of the time.

Re: Setting up a DDNS domain for CCTV on hub one router

Hi

Well, I set the firewall to off, rebooted the router and got no joy.

Reset the router, programmed the router as follows;

Advanced settings/firewall/port forwarding

Set protocol to any

Set port range and translate to all the same number

Rebooted the router and it worked.

Set the firewall to low, rebooted the router and still ok.

Strange.

Thanks for all your help
