Sagemcom 2704n kicking people off internet, 12 connection limit?

Have been having problems for ages where one or other of us gets kicked off the internet. Seems to be resolved if someone leaves the house with a connected device. I have seen other talk of the same problem. How do I resolve?

Also, I can log into the router, and see a list of connected devices (if I use this loginhttp://192.168.1.254/expert_user.html), but there doesn't seem to be a way to permanently remove old devices, ie. someone who visited who I gave the wifi code to. Also, is there a way of giving connected devices a name instead of a number? So I know what is what?

If you log in again and go to Advanced WiFi setting, you can change the WiFi password - this will break connections with all devices and you can only reconnect the ones you wish to have in your network. 

This business of "12 devices only" has been discussed at length, and there have been customer who have many more than this connected.
