Router seem to be in bridge mode. Is this correct?

Hi.

I have a 6MB copper ADSL line connection.

I have a TPLINK w8951nd wireless router.  It was a bit fiddly to set up but I managed to get internet on it.  I thought I had set it up in PPPoE mode but when I logged into the router a week later I saw it was in bridge mode.

Is this correct? Should it be in this mode?

fwiw, if your TPlink router was genuinely in bridge mode, then it would be unlikely that any of your wired and wireless devices would be able to access the internet via Plusnet.

It may be a bug in the firmware.

Adsl is normally pppoa vc mux 0 38 vpi/vci (IIRC). Other settings are possible, but not as efficient.

The router should support TR-069, so maybe it just set its self up via that and the page is misleading.
