Router disconnects and flickering all colours?

My router seems to cut out at times and when it does the light bar starts flicking through all the different colours. Not the steady flashing its supposed to do but frantic flickers.

It's done it about 3 times today and it will only reconnect when I switch it off and back on. Is this a sign of a faulty router?

Hi @grahamroberts11, Given your router is relatively new I wouldn't immediately be thinking the router is the problem. However, I can see there's a fair few drops in connection:

 

Resetting the router could simply be resetting the line and then whatever condition that is affecting your line is then taking hold again.

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting HERE?
