Router connects very sporadically with phones

Hi,

I've had a very bad internet connection for a month which seems to be sorted with laptops after many calls with the tech team and lots of plugging/unplugging, changing channels etc but the problem still persists with our phones which now barely connect anymore. The WPS light is off on router and flashes red when pushing. Any tips on how to sort this out? Many thanks

Has the advice to date included splitting the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands? See. https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Having done this try each band in turn and use the best.

Hi @mariechoub,

I can see that you have the older Fibre router which you can only change the channels on for any wireless issues. We can look into sending you a Hub One router to see if that would make a difference.

If you are looking to get a Hub one router out our customer options team can be contacted directly on: 0800 013 2632.

They are open between the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 20:00

Saturday: 09:00 - 19:00

Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00

Thanks for your advice @Baldrick1 and @Beyhive , I can't indeed make any hertz changes so I guess I need a more recent router then...

You would need a more recent router to make the changes that @Baldrick1 kindly advised.
