Router Upgrade??

Hi

I've just upgraded my contract (no choice really during lockdown and fed up of paying an extra £14 for the same service!)

When the engineer came out a couple of weeks ago (as I was running at 20mps) he said I had a really old router. 

Will i automatically get a new router sent out now?

@slpljh I don't think so - I renewed three or four months back and wasn't offered one, but I understand you can request one within 6 months of renewal.

Oh, that's not good. He said the white router I had was a really old one and he wondered if that was not helping with my connection issues

In that case either ask them for one, or better still, spend about £20.00 on a BT HH6 from the likes of eBay. They are better modem/routers and easily configured for PN.

Only if you if upgraded from ADSL to fibre. If moving fron fibre to fibre extra then you have to ask for one.

various plusnet suplied routers have been white for some time, what router is it?
