Router Suggestions ?

Using a PN supplied Sagencom 2704N in use now about 4 months (not yet worn out) which works well.

But it has trouble reaching upstairs in old stone built house - unlike Draytek 3-ariel router which died in a lightning storm.

We MAY get superfast broadband sometime this decade - in 2 months, in 20 months, no-one will commit.

Wanting to get a more powerful router I don't want to re-purchase after too short an interval.

Should I just wait?  Is there an obvious choice I should go for?

Any comments very welcome.

Maybe a wifi repeater/booster might make more sense? You would then be able to use that with any new router you get as well.
