Router Replacement

Hi all.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but can anyone recommend a replacement router for a 2704n as the wi fi strength is rubbish on the one we have. This replaced our old PN router which died of old age. However the wi fi strength on the old one was a lot better than the new one which is in exactly the same place in the house.

  Thanks

Re: Router Replacement

Get a BT Smarthub 6 from Ebay for around £30ish.They have very good dual band Wifi performance. They work on both standard broadband and fibre. For more information see here https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Smart-Hub-6-Variants-and-Performance/m-p/1504366#M5170.

Re: Router Replacement

Ditto the above.

Just got the HH6 Business version and compared to the 2704N it's awesome.

You'll wonder how you coped without dual band!

Re: Router Replacement

Sorry to hear you're having problems with your wireless signal.

In addition to the advice given above, there might not be a fault with the router.

I'd recommend running through the steps in this troubleshooting guide.

Please let us know how you get on.
