Restrict access via router to specific devices

We have Unlimited Broadband but not fibre. Three vulnerable men live in property and we need to restrict access to internet after 10.30 p.m. and also by device so that some sites can be blocked for some devices but not others. Also can one block access to some sites/apps on Smart TVs.

I know I can do some of this with Safeguard (and have done so) but that is quite limited -- can block sites for everyone for specific times but not for some people and not others.

I believe this may be possible with router that comes with Fibre but not sure about ordinary Broadband.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

I think you probably need to invest in a better router that will fulfil your needs, the hub zero won't.

Here's one example of the type of thing:

If you have limited technical experience, you might need a friendly technician for the initial set up. This type of box can be remotely managed.

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Restrict access via router to specific devices

I know it's in the hub one but does the zero have access control? I haven't used one for years so I can't really remember but on my hub one I use it to stop my kids internet at bed time.

Check the advanced settings in the router-if it's there then you can just set it to switch off internet to certain devices at certain times.
