Hi @mystreet1 ,
Yes indeed, the new box plugged into the mains power and the wire from the Openreach box (ONT?), the Plusnet Hub 2 box has gone completely.

the cost of drilling holes through brick and block internal walls and then re-decorating would far outweigh any advantages
With a wall socket box where the cable comes in, I can’t see why you’d need to redecorate, but irrelevant now as you have gone down a different path.
