We previously used the TP Link instead of the Technicolor router with no problems. Plusnet supplied us with the Sagecom when we moved house and although its fine the range is not great. Since we still have the TP Link sitting about I tried connecting it, but with no luck.
Can it be used as a replacement / range extender? Thanks.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

The Archet D2 is an ADSL router so won't work on fibre. You can however connect it as a Wireleles Access Point to extend the range. This may help https://www.tp-link.com/ae/faq-417.html
A better solution would be to go onto Ebay and buy a new BT Smarthub 6 for about £30. You will find the simple setting up instructions on this board and this will give you far better wifi performance.
