Red power light on modem

Help! The power light has gone red on my router last night. Tried all the usual switching off, pin in the reset button and nothing's happening. We have no internet......what can I do please on a rainy weekend with two teenage boys, aghhhhhh!

Welcome to the fourms.

From doing a quick search, red power light looks like your router is faulty.
For example I found this thread with a similar issue.

I assume you're using PlusNet supplied hardware. If so I am sure a member of staff can arrange a replacement to be sent ASAP.

They may want your old one back, in which case PlusNet can include a returns bag?

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT: Just found another thread with a similar problem if that is the hardware you're using.

A red power light usually indicates the router has failed to start up. I can see that a new router has been ordered, let us know how you get on with it!
