Red power light - Sagemcom 2704N router

I have a Sagemcom 2704N router and the power light is constantly red.

 

I have tried resetting the router via the reset button at the back and nothing happens.

 

Can anyone assist?

It's dead and requires replacing.

Is this the device with serial ending 9522?

Assuming so, the line doesn't look particularly stable either Huh

I can confirm my router's serial number does end with 9522.

 

What can be done about the line being unstable?

Thanks, a replacement router is on it's way. Should turn up tomorrow all being well - otherwise Tuesday/Wednesday.

It will be a different/newer model as the hub you currently have isn't being shipped any more.

Regarding the line stability, I'd suggest seeing how you get on with the new hub and if the problems persists, then report a fault here - http://faults.plus.net

The replacement router has yet to arrive. Can you check if there is a problem with the delivery?

Hey @abc123

Thanks a lot for getting back to us and I'm sorry to hear that the router is yet to arrive. bob has processed it, and it was supposedly dispatched on 09/04/2022. We do advise it can take between 3-5 working days to arrive though, which puts on on tomorrow at the latest. 

If it's not arrived with the post tomorrow, please check to see whether you'd received one of those Royal Mail failed delivery cards, & it might be worth popping down or giving your local sorting office a call to see if they have it. Smiley

I'd be surprised if RM are delivering tomorrow, its a public holiday!!

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Monday too.

I forgot what time of the year it is. Can you not use mobile data which will get you by in the meantime?

If the router hasn't shown by now then I'd be surprised if it does unless there's some significant Royal Mail delay in the area.

It was deifnitely loaded onto a Royal Mail van on the 8th (although your dispatch email may have incorrectly stated the 9th).

The only other thing I can suggest to the OP is perhaps check with your sorting office?

I know where mine is, though it is about 5-6 miles from where I live.
Worth looking up the first two letters of your postcode.

The router has still not arrived. Can you check if another router can be sent instead?

I received the second router a couple of days ago.

 

Everything seems to be working OK now..
