Recommend booster/extender Full Fibre Hub 2

Hi
I’m looking for a recommendation to boost the WiFi. We have full fibre 500MB Hub 2.
The house has a basement annexe and the signal is not strong down there.
Can anyone recommend a decent WiFi extender that is compatible with what we have. I am not technical so please keep the answers simple

Ay chance of running an ethernet cable, either internally or external? Not the cheapest option but is future proof and gives a good starting point for internet in the basement.

Yes ultimately but it would have to be external so just exploring a cheaper option as an interim measure

@thecooperfamily are the mains sockets, in the basement and where the router is plugged in, on the same electrical circuit ?

If so , this https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-Passthrough-Powerline-Configuration-TL-WPA7617/dp/B08QSK84JL might work. Should be capable of up to around 150-200Mb if on the same circuit, dropping to around 30-50Mb if on different circuits.

The property is new to me and is wired strangely so I’m not sure at present. But it is possible

The consumer unit should have labels on the circuit MCB's. It should also have one ( or maybe two ) RCD's each handing a group of circuits. If the basement circuit and where the router is are in different RCD groups, then that's what really reduces the powerline speed.

Thanks. I’ll need to take a closer look. There are two fuse boxes in different rooms both partially serve the annexe so so it would take a bit of investigating
Maybe I’ll just order the extender and take my chances

There's a bit of blurb in this post re idenifying which circuits are best for powerline performance.  https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Powerline-Unit-Performance/m-p/1607450...
