My mobile phone connected to the wifi and then suddenly stopped receiving resulting in using up all my data allowance. I've since changed my phone and attempted to reconnect to wifi and when I enter the password I get an 'incorrect password' message. The wifi password has not changed since installation a few years ago. Any clues?

If you have a Hub One router then one thing to try is to separate the 2,4 and 5GHz bands. Having them syncronised confuses some devices.
Log into the Hub One by pointing a web browser to 192.168.1.254
Go to 'Advanced Settings' -> 'Wireless'.
Click on 5 GHz wireless tab
Change the 'Sync with 2.4 GHz' to 'No'.
Change the name by adding -5 to the SSID.
You can now try to connect using either band, whichever gives the best signal..

It's not a Hub 1.
As well as phone connection problems I also have problems with my Amazon stick. All set up and working fine initially now I get a broadband fault message. Wondering if the router is faulty...

Thanks but this still doesn't work. I keep getting an incorrect password message preventing authentication. I can't understand why this is suddenly happening when I've had a connection in the past.

So go on, give us a clue. What router have you got and is it on ADSL or fibre?

Is it just wireless that won't connect? Have you tried connecting a computer to the router via an Ethernet cable? Put another way, are you sure it is just a wireless problem and not a dropped connection? If so install a free WiFi sniffer app on a phone or similar device. I use WiFi Analyser. With this you can see if you have neighbours using the same frequency with a stronger signal than you. If so you need to go into your router's advanced settings and manually change the channel you are using.
If it's only a wireless problem and this doesn't work then I suggest that you try a different router.
