Power cut: effect on router? My Network lost!

I had a power-cut at home, which isn't unusual. This one turned the power off, then came straight back on again.  This caused various problems which I haven't experienced before.

The main one, I had created a 2.4 GHz Network on my Plusnet Router. This made possible connection with my bathroom scales and my smoke alarms, which only function via 2.4 GHz. I couldn't reconnect these items and then found my network called Guest ******** had just disappeared. I don't understand this at all.

More importantly I can't remember how I created my "special" 2.4 GHz network called Guest ********.  I have searched and the network just isn't around anymore and does not exist.  Can anyone help/assist as I do need to reinstate this network?

Grateful for any help please!

SORRY: Just noticed this should have been posted within Fibre Broadband. Thx.

Thank you

Mike

Re: Power cut: effect on router? My Network lost!

Fix

To split the 2.4 and 5GHz

Navigate in a web browser to 192.168.1.254.

Click Advanced Settings

Enter your Hub admin password when prompted (unless you've changed it, you'll find the default password on the settings card)
Continue to Advanced Settings.
Click on Wireless.
Click 5GHz tab.
Change 'Sync with 2.4Ghz' to No.
Change the name of the 'Wireless SSID' - I added a '_5' on the end.
Save the changes.

You can then select which one you want per device.
