Port Forwarding not Working on Plusnet Hub2 Router

Hi,

Im new to Plusnet, but since Ive moved over, ive had trouble with an online game not working. Read up on it, and it appears I need a port opening  up or UPnP enabled.

I have looked through the router config, and can see that UPnP is enabled by default, so its not that. I have added a PF rule to the router, in what I hope is the correct format, ie

Name of Rule - Name of my client/IP Address - and then the individual port(s) start and end, external and internal - TCP/UDP

I have noticed that the rule does not have a green tick against it for the UPnP column, unlike other rules that have been learnt by my router ( i assume that has happened, as they have not been entered by myself )

I have even tried turning the firewall on the router off - None of the above has worked and the game still doesnt work.

I have run tests on that port with my router external ip address, and the port appears to be closed, but then all ports such as SSH, Telnet, FTP etc all seem to be closed as well, so that maybe a red herring.

I have scoured the internet for help, and have wondered if Port Clamping ?? needs to be enabled, whethere asking Plusnet to set up DDNS will work ? Is it something to do with CG-NAT ?

The game worked before, no issues, with Sky, never had to do anything with the router in terms of UpnP and Port Forwarding.

I can see the error in the games logs as below

UPnP/NAT-PMP port mapping failed. Message: "could not map port using UPnP: no router found

Im really at a loss now in terms of what to do, and so would appreciate any help anyone can give

cheers

Is it something to do with CG-NAT ?

You can exclude that from your thinking, Plusnet don't, and never have, use CG-NAT.
