The Hub One is a rebadged BT Home Hub 5, you can find generic port forwarding instructions here

Re: Plusnet hub one connected to Network NAS

You probably can't. The Hub One doesn't have an inward VPN facility as far as I can see.

Some domestic NAS allow remote access via a service provided by the supplier (my WD supports this).

Which NAS do you have? This may help if its a Synology.

Re: Plusnet hub one connected to Network NAS

I would expect a server such as the HP range to come without a server build and for the user to deploy their build of choice.

There won't be supplier support for external access.

The best bet might be to buy a replacement router that supports external VPN access. The Draytek 28xx range does but I'm sure others will suggest alternatives.
