Plusnet Hub One firmware level

Hello, I am new here and just wanted to ask how I update my router firmware. At the bottom of my router screen it says

Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2 | Last updated Unknown

I assume I am on an older firmware as its unknown update date. Plus recently I have had the router randomly disconnect

Re: Plusnet Hub One firmware level

Hi @PhotoJohn

Thanks for getting in touch. The router will pull down the latest firmware automatically, providing it's turned on and connected to our network. Looking at the firmware version you have, this is the firmware version which ships with the Hub One originally - there is one other version which ships with Hub Ones which have been manufactured more recently.

Having looked at your account, I can see a few drops over the last few weeks, but nothing that would indicate a router issue, or a physical connection issue - testing your line has confirmed no external faults are present.

I'd be more inclined to ensure that your router is in the test socket as shown here and that the drops I've noted aren't being caused by you reseting/turning the router off/on.

Let us know how you get on.

Best wishes

Dave

Re: Plusnet Hub One firmware level

Hello @RandallFlagg, Thank you for the reply.

So to be clear you are saying my firmware is the latest for my router ? I have it turned on all the time and no update

Re: Plusnet Hub One firmware level

Hi @PhotoJohn

It's the latest version that would update without manual intervention, however, my colleague @bobpullen can update your device manually if we feel the drops you're experiencing are related to the firmware in some way.

I'd probably recommend that we do this in this instance and if the drops then continue to occur, we'd ask you to raise a fault here so that our suppliers can investigate accordingly.

Let us know how you get on after the firmware update.

Thanks @bobpullen in advance.

Best wishes

Dave

Would this firmware update help with my Chromecast not connecting issues? If so how do I get my Hub One updated please?

Re: Plusnet Hub One firmware level

Hi Grant,

It's possible it may help - there's certainly no harm in giving it a go.

My colleague @bobpullen will be able to push this to the router for you when he's next in the office. I've tagged him so that he sees your thread and provides the update accordingly.

Best wishes
