Try using a broadband filter on the phone that no longer rings.

If you have lots of phones, it might be worth doing a "quiet line test" in case your internal phone network is picking up and feeding noise into your broadband side.

Amazing !  That works.  Why ?

Actually, I get just one brrr, then another separate brrr etc., instead of a two brrr, brrr pattern.  I am assuming there is no quite enough voltage to get the full brrr,brrr.

Anyway, thanks very much; I am pleased.

In the meantime, I got 24 mbps on the broadband and so double delighted !

The broadband filter generates the ring signal which older phones rely on.
