Plusnet Hub One. WiFi suddenly dropping to under 1mbps

Hey there. I’ve started noticing that my wifi gradually dwindles to sub-1mbps over the course of a day or so. Resetting/unplugging resolves the problem, but this is now has to be done every other day. I’m on the 38mb fibre and the hub has been in place for more than a year.

Has it had it?

I remember having exactly the same issue years ago on the BT hub (which is practically identical). Replacing that hub resolved the issue.

Why not try configuring your OPENREACH outer to PN's settings.
PN's Hub One router is famously poor at wifi performance.
If you use forum's search box, you'll get other wifi suggestions.

Your old HH5 was given a new frock as the Hub One. Many of us are very happy with the HH6 at £5-£20 on auction sites. Plenty of info on setting it up from stickies at start of this thread.

Thanks a lot for reaching out. Did authenticating your router solve this for you? Tests on the line this morning aren't finding any faults, the line is syncing at 40Mbps on my end.

Ok… BT Smarthub Hub acquired from eBay and (big thanks to Baldrick’s instructions) up and running. No problems so far. Thanks all!

Glad you are up and running. Well done and thanks indeed to Baldrick, he must have spent hours sorting the HH6 for PN.
