Plusnet Hub One Ethernet connection keeps dropping

I have Plusnet Hub One for a couple of months now and since day one I have been using it as an access point to my main router via Ethernet. I also have a webcam plugged into one of the Ethernet ports as well. This has worked fine for the past few weeks but recently the connection to the webcam has gone offline and when it does I am unable to connect to the router via a web browser which suggests the router has gone offline. Is there anything I can check such as power management?

Re: Plusnet Hub One Ethernet connection keeps dropping

Hi @Minxymoo, thanks for your post.

We've checked the connection our side and are showing a full and stable connection for the past 36 days, with no disconnections detected as per the below connection graph:

Our GEA tests also don't give us any sort of clue as to what could be causing the problem:

GEA Test Detail
Circuit ID NA Service ID

Test Outcome Pass
Test Outcome Code GTC_FTTC_SERVICE_0000
Description GEA service test completed and no fault found .
Main Fault Location OK
Sync Status In Sync
Downstream Speed 40.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed 10.0 Mbps
Appointment Required N
Fault Report Advised N
NTE Power Status PowerOn
Voice Line Test Result Pass
Technology VDSL
DP Type External
Current and Last 15 Minute Bin Performance
Parameters Last Traffic Count(Upto 15 mins) Current Traffic Count(Upto 15 mins)
Start Time Stamp 2019-11-07T14:18:24.588+00:00 2019-11-07T14:33:24.588+00:00
Ingress Code Violation 0 0
Egress Code Violation 0 0
Errored Seconds 0 0
Severely Errored Seconds 0 0
Unavailable Seconds 0 0

Due to this, it's not looking like you're actually disconnecting, but rather the connection to the router seems to be failing.

The first thing we'd suggest would be to swap out any cabling where possible and then to monitor the connection with the new cabling for around 24-48 hours, to see if the issue persists.

Please let us know how you get on
