PN Hub One WiFi Issues.

I’ve been with PN for a number of months now and been having major issues with WiFi from the Hub One router with the WiFi being erratic with its speed and connectivity.

PN have advised me to change channel number, reset, move the router etc etc etc.
BT have been out to check the line and everything is fine.

When my laptop has a wired connection to the router everything is fine. It’s just over WiFi that I have problems.

My iPhone 8plus acts so slow when using Facebook, instagram, Twitter etc etc and quite often takes ages to load a page. Switch to 4G and it’s rapid.

Today PN have agreed to send out a new Hub one router.
Are people still experiencing the same issues as me still?

As widely commented on here previously, Hub One's wifi performance is bad; just buy another, or used
BT hub which'll work with PN. Use search button to find earlier posts on tackling wifi issues by changing the SSID's
for the 2 bands, analyse wifi in your locale with free app such as inSSIDer, turn 2.4ghz band off etc

You should get a FTTC version of the BT Smarthub 6. These are the most plentiful on auction sites and can be identified by having 4 yellow LAN sockets on the back. They also do a FTTP version that has a red WAN sticker fixed to one of the LAN sockets. If you can get a Business version they have more available settings, for example, you can set your own DNS servers rather than use Plusnet's. But the residential versions work fine. They currently go on Ebay for around £20-30.

And a BT SmartHub 6 I can change the settings on to work on plusnet?

Ive found brand new unopened Hub 6’s that are FTTP.

I’m on fibre but the last 200meters are copper cable to the house so will a FTTP work ok or does it need to be a FTTC router?

You need a FTTC one, not FTTP

Right I’ve bought a brand new BT Hub 6 FTTC.

As this is all new to me could someone talk me through setting it up on PN please.

I have done a search but I seam to find different ways of setting it up.

If it's a new one the box will tell you if it's a business version . Also when you log in to it look at the Header. This is my Business version:
