Old Router starting to play up

Hiya

I still have my original Thomson TG585 v7 router from 2009 which has served me well, unfortunately it has now started to intermittently drop the wifi signal. My son-in-law did the usual 'off & on' and has recommended that I ask for a new router, he did try to ring for me the other day but said he was waiting for a long time and couldn't get to speak to anyone and this would probably be the best way to get a new one sent to me.
