Network Adapter Drops connection to router

Using Window 7 when I take a break and the computer goes into sleep mode it often loses the connection to the router.

This happens with both Hub One and a BT Hub 6. All settings look as they should be and a full reboot restores the connection.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Fix

@TeeGee I'm no expert in this field, but is the adapter set to 'power-saving' mode?

Re: Network Adapter Drops connection to router

Interesting sufggestion @jab1  If I can find its properties I will take a look.

It never gave any problems with ADSL/Netgear  but I must not be too quick to blame FTTC and BT/PN !

Update @jab1  -  I have found properties and disable Energy Efficient Ethernet. Will report back on this although may be some time. I am reaching the point wher Saving The Planet is more trouble than it is worth!
