I have the technicolor TG589vac v2 router and recently it started to act up. The Ethernet works perfectly fine, but its WiFi isnt. It only displays the 5-ghz, but dosent allow any connection to the 2.4ghz. it been driving me insane

Re: My router is acting up

As far as I'm aware, the Technicolor TG589vac v2 is not a Plusnet supplied wifi vdsl modem/router.

If you have more than one wifi device (eg. phone, laptop etc) which cannot detect any 2.4 GHz wireless signal from the router, it is reasonable to conclude the router has perhaps developed a hardware fault.

If however your devices can see a wifi signal but cannot connect, try changing the wireless channel number.  It may be caused by interference from neighbours.  Use channels 1, 6 or 11.

Try factory resetting the router as a last resort.  You will have to enter your plusnet username & password to reconnect to broadband service.
