My Plusnet router makes a hissing sound

Hi

My Plusnet router makes a hissing sound whenever it's receiving data — downloading web-pages or files, streaming, etc.

This seems to be a problem experienced by others.

I've tried to call, but there's no answer.

Could you send me a replacement?

fwiw, try phoning Plusnet as soon as their offices open. Normally 8am on weekdays.  Usually little or no queue.

mine makes hiding sound too, constantly, and it's right by my bed, really annoying. Did you get through to them. What was the solution?  Thanks

I gave-up trying to contact them, but turning-off the 5Ghz, in the router settings, as suggested above, worked.

Thanks - I'm going to try to switch to old BT router if that doesn't work, I'll try turning of the 5Ghz.
