Linksys Velop mesh router compatibility

Hi, after struggling with drop outs and poor signal (in my old, 3 storey house) I purchased 3 Linksys Velop nodes to improve things.  However, after failing to set it up and reading around the subject I'm wondering whether there are compatibility issues or there's something I need to do to tweak the system?

I have fibre with an Openreach modem.  I currently have a Plusnet Hub One router.

Any help and advice gratefully received!!  You may have picked up I'm not a techie 😕

Thanks!

Re: Linksys Velop mesh router compatibility

If you have a Hub1, then you don't need the Openreach modem, as the Hub has a built in modem.

After that, from what I could see, plug the Velop into one of the ethernet ports on the Hub, and then set up the Velop on your phone.

It might make it less confusing if you switch the wireless on on the Hub.

Re: Linksys Velop mesh router compatibility

Hey Mustrum,

Thanks for your swift response - much appreciated.  Just spent the last 45 minutes setting things up and all's seems well so far (fingers crossed).  Removed the Openreach modem and that seems to have solved things!

Cheers, Eddie
