Line fails recorded when using Smart HUB 2

Can anyone suggest a reason - other than the route is just faulty why when I swapped out my plusnet route for a "BT SmartHUB 2"  the bandwidth went down by 10% AND recorded errors?

Is there any other config that needs to be done to be 100% compatible maybe?

Re: Line fails recorded when using Smart HUB 2

One difference is that the two devices have different chipsets. Intel on the Hub One, Broadcom on the SH2. Depending on what type of FTTC cabinet you're connected to/what type of error protection you have applied, this can also influence how the router displays errors i.e. it could be that those errors were evident on the Hub One, it just didn't report them.

Re: Line fails recorded when using Smart HUB 2

Many thanks Bob.   I swapped out the smart hub 2 for the original Hub One. Is it possible re-run the GEA test for my line?
