Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

Hi,
I have been trying to check I have the latest firmware, but could not find it listed online, or anywhere to download it from.

Could you please check this is the latest available?
Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.217.1.1

Last night, my router seemed to reset (on its own) back to factory settings and did not know my username and password to connect to the internet.

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

Welcome to the forums

The latest version is 4.7.5.1.83.263. The one prior to that is 4.7.5.1.83.259

Yours is a very old version, and from reading on here, a few others on the same firmware you're on have recently reporting their hub one also dropping.

You need either a member of staff to give the right people a nudge, or wait until your hub automatically updates.

Regarding the latest firmware, some other users are reporting issues. I was one of them. So if possible, it might be worth seeing if they can send the one ending 259 for the time being.

It's a case of waiting for a member of forum staff to respond, it shouldn't take too long (possibly some time in the morning)

Sorry to hear this.

We've checked and we can't see your router on our router management tool.

Can you PM me the serial number on the bottom of the router?

Well, there's your problem !! Roll_eyes

(this can happen if we use a 2nd hand router from a certain auction site. They (Plusnet) log the serial number to our account, or it's simply a case of they 'lost it').

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

PM Sent. I moved from a residential account to a business account but kept using my existing router. Might be why I have dropped off the router management tool.

The firmware version has been pretty stable except for losing my credentials dropping earlier this week.

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

@Nautoshark Thanks for the PM.

I've readded your router and it should be active on our end shortly.

If you carry out another factory reset your router should pick up the new firmware within the next 48 hours

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

@Nautoshark because of this

If you carry out another factory reset your router should pick up the new firmware within the next 48 hours

If you've made any changes to your router ie wireless SSID, password etc, you can back up your routers configuration on to, say, your laptop.

Then perform a factory reset and then restore your configuration file. Therefore no need to makes the changes again.

The same can be said for the firmware update, it shouldn't mess with any user made changes, but if it does, restoring after the update is also an option too.

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

Did a factory reset but still showing version as 4.7.5.1.83.8.217.1.1

Should I try again later?

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

I wouldn't do it again. They've got your router now and your factory reset should start the automated process off.

If you're familiar with the router, look for things like this:

CWMP: Session start now. Event code(s): '7 TRANSFER COMPLETE,M Download,4 VALUE CHANGE'

CWMP: Initializing transaction for event code M Download

transfer completed successfully

CWMP: Download status=OK

CWMP: Initializing transaction for event code 6 CONNECTION REQUEST

CWMP: Download file, FileType=1, FileName=bt_signed_prod_secured.enc.rms, Username=, CommandKey=

(highlighting the important bits only)

The above are the events logged when you receive the file and when it installs.

It's should just be a case of waiting. The router will drop during the installation only, not the transfer of the file to the router.

Once the file is sent, it should take around 24 hours for it to install (it won't drop for 24 hours though!!)

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

@Nautoshark, As DS has said it can take some time for the update to go through.

Can you let us know how things look at the weekend?

Re: Latest Plusnet Hub One Firmware

Ok, you're now on the latest firmware Wink

Keep an eye on things.... Roll_eyes

If you notice anything a bit out of the ordinary, don't go messing with any settings and post back here first.

(even it it means connecting via ethernet)

I'll say no more Lips_are_sealed
